Course Overview:

A French Beginners course aims to introduce students to the fundamentals of the French language, focusing on vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and essential phrases. The goal is to provide a solid foundation for communicating in everyday situations and to pave the way for more advanced language learning.

•  Learning the sounds of the French language and becoming familiar with the alphabet and its pronunciation.

• Learning essential words and phrases for greetings, introductions and engaging in simple conversations.

3.   Everyday Activities and Routine:

•  Describing daily activities, routines, and discussing hobbies and interests.

4.   Food :

•  Learning vocabulary related to food, ordering in a restaurant, and understanding basic menus.

5.   Travel and Transportation:

• Vocabulary and phrases related to traveling, transportation, and booking accommodations.

6.   Family and Relationships:

•  Introducing family members, describing relationships, and talking about personal background.

7.   Cultural Insights:

• Brief exposure to French-speaking cultures, customs, and traditions to enhance cultural understanding.

The course will utilize various resources, interactive activities, multimedia, and conversation practice to enhance the learning experience. As you progress, you'll gain confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in French.

Instructor:

I have a C1 level (DELF) in French language and have been teaching French to different age groups for the last 14 years. I specialize in preparing students for the DELF examination.

Course Curriculum:

• 40 hours video course based on DELF (French Embassy Certification)
• Understanding the basic sentence structure, verb conjugation (present tense), gender and number agreement, articles, and pronouns.
• Learning numbers, counting, telling time, discussing dates, days of the week and months of the year.
• Engaging in simple writing exercises (like composing emails or short paragraphs) and participating in conversations to practice what you've learned.
• Listening to simple dialogues and readings to improve comprehension skills.
• Live interactive worksheets and assessments to evaluate progress and reinforce learning.
